Broadly the sessions are divided into Class 1 - Labour and pain relief
Class 2 - Baby care and development
Class 3 - Feeding
I am DBS checked, Insured and hold a paediatric first aid certificate. I have been teaching antenatal preparation classes for more than 25 years as a Midwife and I have attended seminars and conferences about antenatal preparation, waterbirth and natural labour.
The course is divided into three x 2 hour sessions - held on three consecutive weeks.
To make it easier for birth partners to attend, sessions are provided in the evening and at weekends.
Classes start from around 28-30 weeks gestation so that you still have the information fresh in your mind when labour starts.
There is a minimum of three couples and a maximum of ten couples per class so they are great for developing a social networks whilst keeping the class intimate.
Please contact me for details of venues and dates of classes.
The classes are competitively priced.
For the three 2 hour sessions including some written information to take away
£125 per couple.
If you have had a baby before and just wish a refresher on labour or feeding I can provide each of the classes as an individual session at £60
.
